The Red Deer Hospice Handbag Auction is back online!
Beginning September 2, browse and bid on a curated collection of handbags through our online auction from wherever you are. Whether you have your eye on a new favourite or are searching for the perfect gift, every bid helps provide compassionate end-of-life care in our community.
An Update to This Year’s Event
We had hoped to gather with you in person on September 16. Unfortunately, ticket sales have not reached the level needed to deliver the event experience we had planned, so we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person portion of this year’s Handbag Auction.
While we’re disappointed we won’t be together in person, the Online Handbag Auction will continue as planned from September 2–16, and we hope you’ll join in!
Get Ready to Bid!
Our collection includes handbags in a range of styles and price points, all generously donated in support of Red Deer Hospice. Bidding opens September 2, but you can get ready now!
A few tips before you bid:
- Already bid with us before? Use your existing account. If you’ve participated in one of our previous online auctions, there’s no need to register again. Simply sign in using the account you already created. If you’ve forgotten your password, simply use the ‘Forgot Password’ feature to recover it.
- Have your eye on a favourite? Try Max Bid. Found a handbag you really want? Enter the maximum amount you’re willing to pay and the auction system will automatically bid on your behalf, only increasing your bid when needed, up to your maximum.
- New to online bidding? Know how it works before September 2. Our Auction FAQ walks you through registration, bidding, payments and more so you’ll know exactly what to expect before the auction opens.

The Red Deer Hospice Society is incorporated as a not-for-profit society in the province of Alberta and intends to raise an estimated amount of $30,000 on the Hospice Handbag fundraising event. It will cost our organization an estimated $10,000. Funds raised will be used to provide enhanced resident comfort and care.
