Grief is a personal journey, but it doesn’t have to be traveled alone. The Good Grief Support Group at Red Deer Hospice offers a group setting for six to eight people to learn together, to receive and offer support, and to find success in coping with grief. Meetings are held once a week for two hours over an eight week period.
Whether you’ve recently experienced a loss or are still navigating the complexities of grief, this support group is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. You do not need to have a loved one who was a resident of Red Deer Hospice to attend.
Connection: Share your story and listen to others in a community that understands. Our group fosters a sense of belonging, reminding you that you are not alone with your grief.
Compassion: Our trained volunteer facilitators and fellow group members offer empathetic support, helping you to express your emotions and find comfort in shared experiences.
Support: Receive guidance, resources and encouragement to help you cope with your loss as you journey towards healing.
Confidentiality: What is shared in the group stays in the group, ensuring a private and respectful environment for all participants.
Pre-registration for Good Grief is required. Please contact our Bereavement Support Team at 403-309-4344 ext. 105 or by email to register or to find out more information.
