19th Annual Run Hike for Hospice

Community Comes Together in Support of Hospice Care

On June 7, our community gathered at Bower Ponds for the 19th Annual Run Hike for Red Deer Hospice, presented by RSM Canada.

Whether participants came to walk, run, remember, or simply spend time with others who share a connection to Hospice, the day was filled with compassion, connection, and community spirit.

This year, 400 participants took to the trails, supported by 50 volunteers and staff who helped make the event possible. They also shared the pathways with Bower Ponds’ resident geese, who brought an impressive amount of main-character energy to the event and made more than a few appearances in this year’s photos.

Because of you, this year’s Run Hike for Hospice presented by RSM exceeded our fundraising goal of $60,000! While final donations and pledges are still being tallied, we are thrilled to share that together we have already surpassed this incredible milestone.

Run Hike for Hospice is powered by community. We are deeply grateful to every participant, volunteer, donor, sponsor, and community partner whose generosity, encouragement, time, talent, and support helped make this day possible.

Whether you joined us to honour someone you love, support Hospice care, or simply be part of the community, thank you for sharing the day with us.

Take a look through the photos and video to revisit some of the moments, memories, and smiles that made this year’s Run Hike for Hospice so special.
