The release of butterflies is a healing experience that can comfort family and friends who have experienced a loss. They are also often considered beautiful representations of the various stages of life and demonstrate that despite adversity, simple changes and time can make life even more beautiful than before.

Every year we host a memorial butterfly release to remember and celebrate with the families who have had someone journey through Hospice in the previous year. We knew there were people in our community who wanted to continue the tradition as well as celebrate new chapters in their lives. We are honored to share this tradition that is so special to Hospice while also creating a greater connection with our community.

This year over 550 Butterflies were released into our community!
